Refunds depend on the circumstances of the transaction, applicable Vendor obligations, and rights available under Australian Consumer Law.
Where a part is faulty, damaged, unsafe, or materially different from the Vendor description, Customers may have rights including repair, replacement, refund, or other remedies under Australian Consumer Law.
Under the Australian Consumer Law, goods supplied through the Platform come with automatic consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded. These include guarantees that goods:
If a good fails a consumer guarantee, remedies (repair, replacement, refund, compensation for damage or loss) are provided directly by the Vendor — not by AutoPart Connect.
Change-of-mind refunds are not automatically required under Australian Consumer Law.
Where a Vendor agrees to a change-of-mind return:
Approved refunds are processed through the original payment method where possible, via Stripe.

AutoPart Connect will initiate the refund promptly once a Vendor or dispute outcome confirms it. Final settlement time depends on the Customer's payment provider.
Where AutoPart Connect charges service or facilitation fees (if any) separate from the Vendor's price:
Customers should first attempt resolution with Vendors through the Platform.
AutoPart Connect may assist by reviewing available evidence and facilitating a fair outcome.

Nothing in this policy removes any rights available under Australian Consumer Law. If a product fails a consumer guarantee — for example, it is faulty, unsafe, or not fit for its described purpose — you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund directly from the Vendor.
